Indexation of the mobility budget

The indexation of the mobility budget allows you to increase the mobility budgets at group level.


📌 General principle of indexation in RewardFlex

The indexation of the mobility budget is an action applied at group level, which has two simultaneous effects:

📌 For current employees

Their total monthly mobility budget (fixed and/or variable part) is increased by the applied percentage.

  • The annual budget is automatically recalculated.

  • If the indexation takes place during the year, only the remaining months are impacted.

  • Past reimbursements are never modified.

📌 For future employees

The group reference budget (TCO) is increased.
​ → Anyone joining the group after the indexation receives the new base budget directly. 👉 The indexation can be applied at any time of the year and is always triggered manually.


💰 How to index a mobility budget in RewardFlex?

1️⃣ Log in to your RewardFlex platform.

2️⃣ Go to "Groups".

3️⃣ Click on "Index the amounts".

4️⃣ Select the groups to index:

  • all mobility groups,

  • a specific group,

  • or several groups at once.

    5️⃣ Enter the indexation percentage to be applied.

    6️⃣ Validate the indexation. 👉 RewardFlex immediately applies the indexation to the relevant budgets.


👥 For active employees

1️⃣ The employee's total monthly mobility budget (fixed and/or variable part) is increased by the same percentage.

2️⃣ The annual budget is automatically recalculated by RewardFlex.

3️⃣ If the indexation takes place during the year:

  • only the remaining months are credited,

  • the past months are not recalculated,

  • the costs already reimbursed remain unchanged. 👉 No retroactive correction is applied.


✉️ Communication to employees

1️⃣ All affected employees receive an automatic email.

2️⃣ This email:

  • explains that the mobility budget has been indexed,

  • specifies the applied percentage,

  • indicates the new monthly and annual amounts,

  • confirms that no action is required on their part.


📌 Key principles to remember

  • 📈 Only increases are possible (no decrease).

  • 🧩 The indexation acts both on:

  • the budgets of active employees,

  • the group reference budget for future employees.

  • 🕒 The indexation can be applied at any time of the year.

  • 🔁 Past reimbursements are never modified.
